Frank Moritsugu
Frank Moritsugu, a nisei, was born in Port Alice, British Columbia. In 1942, he was sent to Yard Creek road camp near Revelstoke, B.C., and in 1944 he moved to Ontario. He began his career in journalism as a staff member of the New Canadian,. After serving with the Canadian Army in India, he pursued his interests in journalism at the University of Toronto where he was editor of The Varsity, the campus newspaper. Frank has been on staff of Maclean’s, The Toronto Star and The Montreal Star. He has also worked as a communications director for various government ministries and as a journalism teacher at Centennial College in Toronto. He is currently publisher and columnist of Nikkei Voice.
