Momiji Seniors Centre
Kingston Road
Scarborough, Ontario
The Momiji Health Care Society first purchased land in 1986 for a proposed residence and extended care facility. Due to a lack of funds, however, only the residence portion was built. In 1992, the Momiji Seniors Centre was opened and is now home for 134 seniors. The complex boasts of a large auditorium, activity rooms, pool and Japanese restaurant. An active tenant’s council addresses seniors’ concerns and organizes many programs and activities.
