In 1979, the Canadian Japanese Cultural Institute was established at Onteora School in Hamilton. However, when the space at the school was no longer available, the Hamilton NAJC Chapter and the Canadian Japanese Cultural Centre jointly purchased an existing building and renovated it to become the new centre. The official opening took place in 1995.
Activities: seniors’ programs, community events, odori, martial arts, language classes
