WWII Experience - Resistance - Nisei Mass Evacuation Group

A group of nisei protested the break-up of families and demanded removal in family units. The BC Security Commission denied the request. The Nisei Mass Evacuation Group became more aggressive and advised men to resist the order to go to road camps. This action caused generational division between the issei and nisei. Refusing to go, the protesters were detained by the RCMP and were sent to a prisoner-of-camp in Petawawa, Ontario.
