As a follow-up to the successful The Best Years conference held in Calgary, Homecoming ’92 was organized to celebrate fifty years after the forced removal from British Columbia. Vancouver was chosen so that delegates would be lured back to the West Coast to re-acquaint themselves with their past and meet friends long-separated. Over 700 delegates attended the largest post-war gathering of Japanese Canadians.
