After much community consultation, analysis and evaluation, a restructuring proposal was developed for the future of the NAJC. A series of town hall meetings were conducted in nine centres from March to September 1999, which provided feedback on the proposal. At the 2002 annual general meeting, the implementation of the new structure – one that offers memberships to organizations and individuals – was approved.
